Get your own FKA tenugui!

The FKA has a new tenugui available at all major national camps or by email order.

The tenugui reads in Japanese Sha shi on, which can be translated as ”four debts of gratitude". This is a thought derived from buddhism. According to it you are indebted to four things in your life:

  1. Your parents
  2. Your teachers
  3. Your fatherland
  4. All living creatures

It's impossible to ever repay these debts, but you must remember they exist and respect them.

You can order your own tenugui from Susanna Porevuo (salonen porevuo(at)elisanet fi (replace spaces with dots to get a valid address).

Important Update: Saito sensei and students will not participate in the FKA Spring Seminar

Due to recent, very unfortunate events in Japan, Saito sensei and his students are unfortunately forced to cancel their visit to Finland and Estonia and thus their participation in the FKA's Spring Seminar. Takeda sensei and the rest of the group will confirm in 2-3 days, what decisions they must make to handle this situation.

We understand only too well how difficult things must be for them right now. It is self-evident, that they must concentrate their energy on helping their own surroundings cope with disaster.

We all hope that all of Saito sensei's students (and everyone else for that matter) are unharmed and that we might welcome them here again, when things are looking better.

The FKA's Spring Seminar will be held in any case and the FKA is currently contemplating on how we could best express our deepest sympathies and aid our friends in Japan.
