| National Dan & Kyu Examinations | 03/12/2003 |
|
National kendo examinations are held annually in Finland at least at the following events: Team championships, Pori jazz-camp and Helsinki-camp. If other opportunities present themselves, separate information will be sent out. In addition to this, clubs organize their own kyu gradings of which they themselves notify their members. At the national examinations it is possible to obtain lower dan grades (up to 3rd dan unless no other information is given) and upper kyu grades according to need. The FKA wishes, that gradings for lower kyu grades (5th and 6th kyu) will be organized as much on club levels, as possible. During kyu level camps and competitions there is often the possibility for gradings as well. Please note, that kyu grades are national grades and do not necessarily correspond to another country's kyu level system. Dan grades are accepted internationally. REGISTRATION for national examinations has to be done one week before examination date to the club, that's organizing the event and to the FKA through the club. The Registration data has to include the following: name, birth date and grade to be examined. [Last modified 28/01/2007] |
